CVG 2 John Chapter 1

1 

1. The elder, to the elect mistress and to her children whom I love in the truth and not I only, but also all those who know the truth.

2. Because of the truth remaining in us and will be with us forever.

3. Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Son of the Father in truth and in love.

4. I rejoiced exceedingly because I found some of your children walking in the truth just as we received the command from the Father.

5. And now I ask you Mistress, not as though I am writing to you a new command, but which we had from the beginning that we love one another.

6. And this is the love that we walk according to His commands. This is the command just as you heard from the beginning that you walk in it.

7. Because many deceivers have gone out into the world those not confessing Jesus Christ coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

8. Look to yourselves that you don't lose what you worked for, but you receive full wages.

9. Everyone who goes beyond and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. The one who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

10. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house and do not speak a greeting to him.

11. For the one who speaks a greeting to him shares in his evil deeds.

12. Having many things to write to you, I do not want to do so through paper and ink, but I hope to be with y'all and to speak to you mouth to mouth so that our joy may be completed.***

13. The children of your elect sister greet you.***
